Finding disposable cameras and enjoying film photos again! A disposable camera is easy to use because you don’t need to change any settings.

For a good month or so, I had been looking for the Contax T2 film camera and had dug through every online shop offering classic cameras, including second-hand stores. Although I still haven’t managed to get my hands on the Contax T2 yet, my search for film cameras recently introduced me to disposable cameras, a type of film camera designed for single use.

Honestly, before that, I hadn’t heard of disposable cameras, nor did I know who made them. I later found out that a couple of companies, including Kodak and Fujifilm, produce these cameras. Unlike traditional film cameras, which allow you to load and reload film, disposable cameras come preloaded with a roll of film and are meant to be used once. After taking all the shots, you simply drop them off at a photo lab for development.

What intrigued me the most was how simple and fun they seemed. With no settings to adjust—no need to worry about focus, aperture, or shutter speed—disposable cameras allow you to just point and shoot. This makes them perfect for casual photography, travel, and capturing everyday moments without the pressure of achieving the perfect shot.

As I explored more, I discovered that disposable cameras have a unique charm. They produce grainy, nostalgic-looking images that remind me of old photo albums from childhood. The excitement of not knowing how the pictures will turn out until they’re developed adds an element of surprise that digital photography often lacks.

Now, even though I’m still searching for my dream Contax T2, I’ve started to appreciate disposable cameras for what they offer. They bring back the joy of film photography in the simplest way possible, allowing me to capture memories without overthinking the process. In a world dominated by digital perfection, there’s something refreshing about embracing the imperfections of film.
